Biography

 

Ryan Gresko, a native of Saxton, Pennsylvania, has a diverse professional background and has lived and taught in the states of Pennsylvania, Ohio, South Carolina, and Alabama.  

As a young adult Mr. Gresko received a full music scholarship where he graduated in 2005 with a degree in Instrumental Music (percussion) from Mansfield University in Pennsylvania.

After graduating and teaching for a short time in Alexander City, Al at Benjamin Russell High School, Mr. Gresko was awarded a full gradate assistantship to Kent State University, where he studied and received a Master’s in Music Performance in 2012. 

 Mr. Gresko has been a performer with a number of Symphonies and performing ensembles throughout both the Southern and Northern part of the United States.  His playing experiences include performing with the Altoona Symphony Orchestra, The Nittany Valley Symphony Orchestra, the Montgomery Symphony Orchestra, the Pennsylvania Chamber Orchestra, and with several local Churches throughout Montgomery and Auburn area.

Prior to becoming the Band Director at New Brockton High School, Mr. Gresko had worked at Dadeville High School in the Tallapoosa County School system for 4 years. In addition to working at New Brockton High School, Mr. Gresko has been the adjunct Instrumental music Instructor at Enterprise State Community College since the Spring of 2020.

In his non-professional life, Mr. Gresko is the father of 3 children, Braden, Parker, and Lydia, ages 13, 10, and 4.  He enjoys cooking, playing tennis and spending time with his wife, vocalist, and music educator, Ashley Gresko.
