The Amigos Club is meant to establish one-to-one friendships between students in our EL classrooms and subsequently help create an inclusive school climate and community culture of acceptance. The program provides students with a common interest in the English and Spanish Languages, as well as American and Hispanic Cultures. We are dedicated to providing all EL students opportunities to celebrate their cultures together and to ensure that each of these students has a friend or adult to talk to. We want all of them to know that they belong at NBHS!
¿Que es el Club de Amigos?
El Club de Amigos está destinado a establacer amistades uno a uno entre los estudiantes en nuestras clases de EL y ayudar a crear un clima escolar inclusivo y una cultura comunitaria de aceptación. El programa brinda a los estudiantes un interés común en los idiomas inglés y español, así como en las culturas estadounidense e hispana. Estamos dedicados a brindar a todos los estudiantes EL oportunidades para celebrar sus culturas juntos y asegurarnos de que cada uno de estos estudiantes tenga un amigo o un adulto con quien hablar. ¡Queremos que todos sepan que pertenecen a NBHS!
Celebrate Hispanic Culture all year through different events such as the Day of the Dead, Día Latino, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentines, Cinco de Mayo, as well as many other important dates.
Meet other NBHS EL Students to practice English as well as their native languages.
Practice appropriate behavior in and out of the classrooms.
